World Tournament 2017
Two months ago in August 26th 2017. There is an event named World Tournament that is made by the students from SEF3 (Students English Forum 3) and controlled by Mrs.Wiwin. That event is made for the 10th grade student, we should use English during this event and it takes place with the aim of improving our English and add fluency, especially this event is included in the
list of English lesson values.
The world tournament this time has the theme of "pirate" therefore every class must use attributes associated with pirates. Each class will give 1 representative to become a pirate captain who must wear the most creative and different costumes. The commitee will give a reward for who wear the best costumes.
Our class decided to wear clothes with stripe motifs and using sweatpants. BUT for the captain, we are making something that similiar to Captain Jack Sparrow. Our captain is Achmad, He is wearing a red turban, dreadlocks that is modified with aluminium foil for his head. Now for the clothes, he is wearing white shirt but he didn't close the button and left it open, so it looks like a real pirate. He also wear black trousers and brown boots. The interesting things from his clothes is he is wearing the pirates hook from aluminiumfoil and he is also has an parrot on his right shoulder.
The first game we do is complete a tricked problem, we are divided into 2 groups : group who asnwering the question and grup who searching the clues. In all games there is a requirement, that every groups who continue to use English will get additional points. And the most exciting thing is that each group will always be chased by the traitor, the traitor will throw water to the group members, and the affected person must be out of the group.
unfortunately, I can not continue the second game because I have to follow the religion lesson on Saturday as usual and it takes about an hour maybe. After me and my friends finished the lesson, we came back to the hall to continue the game, and we just realized that they were at lapangan bali, i want to follow them but one of our friend legs are injured so we can not bear to leave it and wait together in the front of the field.
After we get back to the groups, we continue the game, this game named guess the picture in Indonesia the game named "Tebak Gambar" but the rules is we must guess but in english meaning. For the last game, we gathered all the groups and then divided into two groups of winners and losers, we are given a bucket of water clumps, then we play throwing the water to our friends, everyone is happy and enjoyed the game.
Before we are going home, the commitee announced the winner of the game and the winner of the best costumes. My class became the winner of the best costumes. They did not pick the wrong winners because our workhard is getting paid. Even we can't become the winner of all game at least we have brought 1 championship.
